My name is Anna, originally from Greece I’ve been living in the UK since 2004… well on and off, but I can honestly call London home since 2012.
So here we are, currently I work as an Art Director for a creative marketing agency and have been a graphic designer for the past 18 years, but I decided it’s time for me to ‘come out’…
For many years my real passion and ‘my happy place’ was interior design. I would never call myself an Interior Designer (at least not yet) but just someone who loves interior design and home organising way too much to leave it unnoticed. Since I can remember I’ve been moving furniture around, helping friends and family with renovating ideas and not being afraid of the paint brush. When I visit IKEA I feel like a kid in a candy store…. you get the idea, right?
So I decided to take these ‘signs’ a bit more seriously and I’ve enrolled on an online course for interior design. As my full time job currently keeps me very busy that was the only option for me, I’m on my 4th module out of 12 so I will keep you updated with how that goes.
So here I am, I’m coming out ‘I LOVE INTERIOR DESIGN’ and I’m not going to hide it anymore!
I have moved numerous times and I’ve always got an adrenaline rush when I had to design and organise my new space. My friends jokingly calling me OCD but I do think living in a clean, well organised and tidy space makes a difference in your overall life, your creativity, your mood and your peace of mind. We all have such busy lives so when you get home it needs to be your sanctuary, the place you can relax and leave all worries outside the door. I know sometimes this is not possible. I’m not going to try and spiritually guide you here, but having a nice place to live, a place you find comfort and love is very important and can help ease a lot of issues you might be facing in your life or help you recharge to see things in a different light.
This blog will be about all the things I love. Interior design, a personal journey of my moves and renovations, as I’m just about to move from a small flat to a house (very exciting times!), ideas of organising your home and some interior design inspiration from my travelling.
